It looks like Beyonce and Adidas are no longer in bed together… BUSINESS-WISE!
A source close to the situation tells The Hollywood Reporter that the Grammy-winning entrepreneur and the German lifestyle brand have mutually agreed to part ways.

In 2018, Beyoncé entered a creative partnership with Adidas, where she relaunched her Ivy Park activewear line and also developed new footwear and apparel for the brand.

But there has apparently been major creative differences between Ivy Park and Adidas, and Beyoncé is excitedly looking to reclaim her brand, chart her own path and maintain creative freedom.
In 2016, Beyoncé debuted Ivy Park, which was a joint venture with Sir Philip Green of Topshop. The 50-50 venture with Topshop ended in 2018, and Beyoncé gained full ownership of Ivy Park.

Her adidas (XETRA:ADS.DE +0.92%) streetwear brand, IVY PARK saw a steep decline. The Wall Street Journal reported that IVY PARK brought in only $40 million USD when sales projected the revenue to be around the ballpark of $250 million USD. In response to the report, adidas told the publication that their “partnership is strong and successful. We continue to be inspired by our collective vision and are proud of the work we have created together.”
Beyoncé and adidas launched IVY PARK in 2016. At the time, the singer called the deal a “partnership of a lifetime.” However, it seems as if the products are not selling as expected. In the past five of the six seasons, almost half of the merchandise produced was left unsold. The $40 million USD made in 2022 sees more than a 50% decline from the $93 million USD made the year prior. For 2023, IVY PARK is projecting sales of $65 million USD, a much lower target than the previous $335 million USD.

We are SURE IVY PARK will rise again….
