Troubled rising star, Jonathan Majors has been in the THROES of legal woes surrounding a domestic dispute allegation from a past lover.
Majors has been DROPPED from commercials and roles and representation due to his ongoing legal battle, but it appears that through all of that he has found love again….. in the arms of famed actress, Meagan Good!
Sources with direct knowledge tell us, over the course of the last several weeks, Jonathan and Meagan have gotten close, and the relationship is “fairly new.” What’s more, a witness tells us they were at the Alamo Drafthouse in L.A. last weekend to see a movie … so it’s not like they’re hiding the fact they’re hanging out.
Neither have CONFIRMED or denied their involvement with each other.
Good was in a 9-year marriage with DeVon Franklin and finalized the split in June 2022, just a week after what would have been their 10-year anniversary.
Good told ESSENCE she still considers Franklin, 44, “an incredible and beautiful person,” confirming that neither did anything malicious toward the other.
But once the news of the divorce went public, some fans questioned the truth behind their 2017 book The Wait: A Powerful Practice for Finding the Love of Your Life and the Life You Love. This, in turn, made Good examine her own approach to love moving forward.
“I struggled with that,” she admits. “I was like, ‘I don’t know if I should be celibate now. I don’t know what I should do.’ I even was at a point early on when I felt, obviously, I still believe in Jesus, but I’m not sure what to believe about anything else anymore.”
Majors continues to fight criminal charges in NYC — 3 counts of attempted assault as well as assault, one count of aggravated harassment, and a separate count of harassment.
So the two know a thing or two about NAVIGATING love amidst controversy, so maybe they can be the SHOULDER that each of them needs to get through what they are going through.
OPTICALLY, it looks very much like a P.R. ploy to help bolster Majors’ image. He was LINKED to a white woman who led to these CHARGES, then rebounds with a prominent BLACK actress to gain the favor of that demo, right? GOT IT. Checking off a few ‘boxes’ at a time in the court of public appeal.
Meanwhile, Good is also starring in the second season of ‘Harlem’ on Amazon, so any PRESS wouldn’t hurt those streaming numbers, right? Seems like a WIN/WIN for both parties, but HEY, what do I KNOW?
