Everything is coming up ROSES for the FAMED R&B trio SWV. The ladies were RECENTLY honored with a STREET named after them in the Bronx, NY!
The LADIES braved the pouring down RAIN to receive their honor. Members, Coko and Lelee hail from the Bronx and their SISTER and bandmate, is from Brooklyn and of course she was there to celebrate her sisters!
The ladies were also inducted into The Bronx Walk of Fame.
Speaking on the honor, LeLee said:
“I can’t begin to say how proud we are to be inducted into the 2023 Bronx Walk of Fame. Although, life has taken me far and beyond Nelson Avenue park where I played as a kid —this is where the dream for me began. My playground for most of my young life—as an adult I still carry the X with me with honor and pride. I’m so happy that we’re finally gonna be a part of history and amongst the many reasons why the BRONX is so special!! 🙏🏽 #HighBridge we did it!!!! Derrick D-Nice Jones we did it bro! Remember we talked about this🙏🏽”
Congrats to SWV of course! What’s next for the ladies?? Well they will be hitting the road with Jodeci this Summer and will be HONORED AGAIN with the Icon Award at the Black Music Honors in June, so STAY TUNED for that!
