Who saw this one coming? As contentious as the divorce proceedings have been between RHOA alum, Kim Zolciak and former Atlanta Falcon player, Kroy Bierman, it appears the two may indeed give it another go!??
On Friday, they filed paperwork to mutually dismiss their petitions for divorce.
The reversal comes two months after the estranged couple filed individual complaints petitioning for a divorce after 11 years of marriage.
“They’re getting along and calling off the divorce,” the insider said. “They’re trying to make it work for the kids.”
Biermann’s attorney Marlys Berstrom confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that the pair “are dismissing divorce action and reconciling.”
Now when I hear things like this, I immediately THINK, IT’S NOT GOING TO WORK. If they are just sticking together for the children– seems like putting a BAND-AID on a stab wound. Bur we shall see.
In court documents filed early May, Zolciak, 45, and Biermann, 37, listed their official date of separation as April 30. Zolciak reported that her marriage was “irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation.”
Then the allegations began.
In the weeks following the split, Zolciak reportedly asked a judge to force her husband to be tested for drugs, while Biermann filed legal documents alleging his wife has an online gambling problem that has taken a toll on the family’s finances.
On June 16, Zolciak called 911 to report that Biermann threatened to file kidnapping charges against a friend of hers, and also accused him of stealing her belongings.
Meanwhile, TMZ reported that the couple owe the IRS a total of $1.1 million for three years of unpaid taxes, interest and penalties.
After such a NASTY barrage of allegations and money woes, how do you go back from that? Seems we may be revisiting this DIVORCE later, but who knows, maybe they INDEED have worked through their issues. Time will tell.
The couple, who met in 2010 at an Atlanta charity event, married at their Georgia home in November 2011. The lead up to their wedding was chronicled in the first season of the Bravo spinoff “Don’t Be Tardy,” which ultimately ran for eight seasons from 2012 to 2020.
Zolciak and Biermann have since welcomed four children together — Kroy Jr., 11, Kash, 10, and twins Kaia and Kane, 9. Biermann also adopted Zolciak’s older daughters from a previous relationship, 26-year-old Brielle and 21-year-old Ariana.
