After a BRIEF hiatus, Meg Thee Stallion is BACK with a banger. The Houston hottie, gets INTROSPECTIVE as she recounts some of her life events from the past few years down on SONG:
“Breakin’ down and I had the whole world watching,” Megan declares in the first verse before questioning: “Every night I cried, I almost died / And nobody close tried to stop me / Long as everybody gettin’ paid, right?”
The ‘Cobra’ rapstress SHEDS MORE SKIN as she shares more about the struggles she has faced over the past few years:
Ayy, damn, I got problems
Never thought a bitch like me would ever hit rock bottom
Man, I miss my parents, way too anxious, always cancel my plans
Pulled up, caught him cheatin’, gettin’ his dick sucked in the same spot I’m sleepin’
Lord, give me a break, I don’t know how much more of this shit I can take (Ayy)
How long you been worried ’bout me, tellin’ people that’s not me?
Honestly, it kinda feel like you plottin’, watchin’
Why is you speakin’ on me at my lowest when you acted like you ain’t noticed?
“Cobra” is the Meg’s first single since formally cutting ties with 1501 Certified Entertainment. It arrives via the Houston rapper’s new independent music and entertainment entity, Hot Girl Productions, and comes with a music video in which Megan Thee Stallion crawls out of a snake’s mouth, peels off a layer of her skin, and performs a dance routine to a guitar solo. Watch the Douglas Bernardt–directed “Cobra” visual below.
This looks like a PROMISING new era for Megan! We look forward to big things to come!
The CATHARTHIC song and visual is just the TIP of the iceberg for a new chapter for our resident HOT GIRL!
