There have been SO MANY rumblings about the SWEET 16 season of ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’. Some sites have not had any NEWS to report so they started MAKING UP ‘news’ about Bravo SHUTTERING the whole previous cast from the ABYSMAL-ratings season 15 and starting off FRESH a ‘la RHONY. But we don’t think THAT whole FACELIFT job is going to be done to Atlanta.
Longest-running HOUSEWIFE across ALL franchises, Kandi Burruss-Tucker just recently CONFIRMED she was NOT returning for season 16, so the RUMOR mill has been BUZZING that Burruss’ nemesis, Phaedra Parks may CREEP back onto the scene OR the ‘QUEEN’ of the franchise, Nene Leakes may find her way back.
Now those two PEACHES would DEFINITELY bring the RATINGS back, but we can not CONFIRM no DENY those lovely ladies returning for this season, but NOW, we can confirm ONE familiar face will be back. The LOVELY and talented, Porsha Williams-Guobadia has broken the INTERNET with her announcement that she would be coming back to the ORCHID when the LADIES RECONVENE for sweet 16!
On Tuesday, Bravo announced Porsha’s comeback to RHOA and her comprehensive scripted talent deal with NBCUniversal Entertainment. According to the agreement, Porsha will exclusively collaborate with NBCUniversal Entertainment for scripted projects spanning the company’s broadcast and streaming platforms.
Porsha posted a video to Instagram to share her excitement for returning to RHOA.
“I’m incredibly thankful for the vision and faith NBCUniversal has put in me to be a larger part of their family,” Porsha says. “I’m looking forward to being back on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and showing the world my new world!”
Now BACK to the MATTER at hand, we got our GIRL P, back in the ORCHID!
No OTHER confirmed PEACHES as of yet, but Kenya Moore has been doing alot of press in the past few weeks and she appears in GREAT SPIRITS, so it’s a sure bet that she will be returning as well.
My BET is that Porsha will be the ANCHOR for the rest of the CAST to be rebuilt around. From the past seasons that she has been ABSENT, we saw from the RATINGS that Kandi, Sheree nor Kenya ALONE could bring the RATINGS and even though there were STRONG plays from both Marlo Hampton and Drew Sidora, those two LADIES could do all the HEAVY LIFTING alone.
We KNOW Porsha will bring some FIRE back to the cast and wouldn’t it be a COUP if somehow, someway, Porsha weaved in an arc that would bring her ‘BIG SIS’ Nene back on the canvas even if just for a visit. That would be a RATINGS BONANZA! Let’s keep our fingers crossed on that. While the LADIES of season 15 were FLOUNDERING around with little chemistry and little EXCITEMENT this past season, Nene and Porsha had been PALLING around the streets of Atlanta living their best LIVES and causing social media to GAG at every IG post. We wished THEIR SOCIAL MEDIA lives could’ve been CAPTURED on the show… but as a very wise BLOGGER, Michelle ‘ATLIEN’ Brown says, ‘but I digress…. Let’s just wait and see what happens next!
