So if you WATCH the 2024 BET Awards, you probably saw the CROWD PARTICIPATION portion that the host, Taraji P. Henson did that involved TikTok food critic Keith Lee.
During the TELECAST, Henson, mixed Lee up with another social media influencer during the ‘skit’.
Here we see Taraji ‘hitting her mark’ and trying to do the on-camera banter with these influencers. She mixed Lee up with another influencer and when she realized her mistake, she quickly doubled back and apologized.
However, Lee must’ve felt a way, because he made a POST showing him dropping the ROSE that Henson had given him. He soon DELETED that post and posted another, claiming that he had no ISSUE with Henson, but you can see in the video he still felt some kind of way…
Well Taraji has now SPOKE OUT about the incident!
Although Lee said he wasn’t BLAMING Taraji for the mix-up, but the TONE of his video seemed like he was still a bit SALTY about the matter. I’m not sure if people are AWARE of all the moving parts that go into pulling off a LIVE telecast? She was the HOST, she dialogue, she had skits, she had wardrobe, hair changes etc. There was ALOT going on that night and leading up to that night. Give the lady GRACE, she made a small mix-up in which she quickly apologized for. Things HAPPEN!
Like she said, HE WILL BE FINE. As much as Lee CLAIMS to want to be ‘low-key’, or ‘non-celebrity’, his THEATRICS come off as him wanting to ‘have a moment’. IJS.
