Fans of Belle Collective, ‘OWN’s break-out reality show’, were ELATED this week when creator and producer, Carlos King announced the show was renewed for season 6!

One of the STAND-OUT new ‘Belles’, Aikisha Colon and her husband have been a POLARIZING pair since stepping foot back in Jackson, Mississippi, where the show is based. The lovely couple had a very TRYING season 5 leading up to the EXPLOSIVE season 5 finale where the couple almost came to BLOWS with other cast members! SADLY, that may never come to pass because on Monday, on Carlo’s King’s LIVE podcast, Aikisha BLINDSIDED Carlos making the announcement that she and her HUSBAND were QUITTING the show and that Carlos’ lawyers would soon be CONTACTED by theirs!!!

Right after ANNOUNCING that she had received her PICK-UP letter for season 6, she dropped the BOMBSHELL!

The SILENCE was LOUD and AWKARD at first. But Carlos REBOUNDED quickly and gave the textbook, politically-correct answer by saying that they are always WELCOMED back and that his DOOR is always open, but you can see the visible ‘WTF’ look on his face as the others on the panel were looking dazed and confused as well!

I thought they brought an air of sophistication to the show. Not that the other couples are not. But they represented a family unit that was pretty much FREE of DRAMA in their household. The two supported each other and seemed very loving towards each other.. and that ELEMENT is often on the back-burner for some of the other couples!

We are sad to see the Colon’s go, but THAT reality show DRAMA does not need to seep into their OFF-CAMERA lives and cause havoc, so maybe them BOWING OUT is for the BEST!

This NEW ERA of reality tv is not for the WEAK, and some people’s PIECE OF MIND just can not be bought, manipulated or toyed with no matter the amount of money or platform. Hopefully we see them again in another setting! We wish them the BEST!
