Grammy award winning couple  Nelly and Ashanti  are making their way to reality tv with an all new docuseries! The MEGA WATT power couple just welcomed their first child together last year and are MARRIED to boot, will open up to the world about their life and love and family gains and pains.

#TheGamutt has learned that Peacock has ordered a new series following the pair and it is currently filming.

It comes from Critical Content, the company behind Netflix documentary Sly and MTV’s Catfish.

We hear the pair have been filming for the last few months. Nelly, also known as Cornell Haynes II, is best known for hits such as Hot In Herre and Ride With Me, Country Grammar and so on and so on; Ashanti is best known for hits such as Foolish and Rock Wit U (Awww Baby) , Rain on Me, Always On Time, and numerous acting credits.

The pair previously dated between 2003 and 2013 before getting back together in 2023. In April 2024, Ashanti revealed she was pregnant with her first child, born in July. They also quietly married in Missouri in December 2023.

Nelly and Ashanti are no strangers to unscripted television; Nelly starred in Nellyville, which aired for two seasons on BET in 2014 and 2015 and mockumentary Real Husbands of Hollywood. He also appeared in films including The Longest Yard and TV series such as CSI: New York and Dancing with the Stars.

Ashanti has also appeared in a slew of movies and series including Army Wives and Love & Listings.

Since the two have rekindled and culminated their relationship to a new blended family, the two have been all smiles and laughs and have appeared inseparable. It will be refreshing to see how these two found their way back to one another and ultimately back as a strong successful family with a new baby too!

Nelly Haynes and Ashanti Haynes will exec produce alongside Jenny Daly and Oji Singletary at Critical Content Studios.

Let’s hope the couple don’t fall prey to the REALITY SHOW jinx, whereas couples open their lives up to the preying eyes of social media leading to problems in the union.

We have seen countless couples enter the realm and the cracks in their relationship exasperated leading to turmoil or divorce.

Seeing that Nelly has navigated reality tv before and the pair or executive producers, they can monitor just how their images are portrayed.
