Embattled R&B Crooner, R. Kelly who is serving a 30-year sentence in New York for racketeering and sex trafficking, says he’s working on new music from behind bars!
The FALLEN icon says he has written over 25 albums since being incarcerated. “Singing is a beautiful disease that’s [in]curable,” said the “Ignition” singer and convicted sex offender, real name Robert Kelly.
Adding he won’t “stop singing. I don’t care where I’m at. … I’m always singing,” Kelly said he’s also “always writing.”
And this may be true, because Kellz is the latest celeb to join in on Chris Brown’s #ResidualsChallenge! On a jail phone call, R. Kelly LAMENTS over Brown’s MEGA HIT song, ‘Residuals’!
Over the haunting track, Kelly laments about where his monetary residuals were going and how after 34 years in the industry—and after putting the “R in R&B”—he’s left feeling high and dry.
“Tell me who, who’s getting all my checks? Where is my money at? Tell me who, who’s getting paid for my grind? All of that’s supposed to be mine,” Kelly can be heard singing in the chorus.
He continues:
“Who gave you 34 years? Who made you billions of dollars? Who put the ‘R’ in ‘R&B,’ swear that it’s killing me. Am I still making you holler?” he continued. Listen to the full verse below.
