Rapper #YG OPENS UP about #SEXUALASSAULT he faced as a teenager in new song ‘2004’ [vid]

Rapper Y.G. is opening up about sexual abuse he faced when he was 14.

In his latest offering, ‘2004’, the provocative song opens up with him admitting he was sexually assaulted by a woman TWICE his age!

He starts out with these strong words: “When I was young I got RAPED…..’

Then he leaves a long PAUSE to draw you in. In the song he talks about how he hid the assault from his mom, and about the TRAUMATIC effect this ordeal had on his future relationships.

The new track was produced by DJ Swish, Ya Boy N.O.I.S., and SmokeyBeatz. YG glides on an unapologetically West Coast-tinged beat, getting straight to the point with the matter at hand.

A video shot by YG and Hidji World also dropped to coincide with the rapper’s new track. Actress Tasha Smith stars as a therapist in the video as YG unpacks this particular traumatic tale.

Shout to YG for opening up and creating necessary conversations through his art.
