RUMOR has it that a congratulations is in order for LIVING LEGEND, Toni Braxton and Birdman!? Well already maybe too late for the wedding reception, and was their even any cake and champagne?
Word from the curb is that Braxton (58), and Birdman (56) SECRETLY married last year!
According to TMZ, the two who had been romantically linked for YEARS, got married on August 8th 2024! But wait, don’t FLOOD the BRIDAL registry just yet. The “He Wasn’t Man Enough” singer, filed to end their marriage just two weeks later, stating that their union was “irretrievably broken.”
Braxton listed their date of separation as Aug. 10 — just two days after their wedding! The TWO were headed to divorce court, allegedly, then something happened along the way.
But WAIT, it appeared that Birdman was allowed to ‘Breath Again’, because Toni dismissed the divorce petition in January 2025, per the outlet.
Birdman, whose real name is Bryan Christopher Williams, notably signed off on her decision NOT to go ahead with the divorce, so ON PAPER, the two are still legally married, and we didn’t know ANY OF THIS until yesterday (4-10-2025)! Talk about being able to keep a secret!
Now there have been RUMBLINGS that the two had a secret wedding for some time now, and even her sister Tamar alluded to this back in December 2023 and went LIVE to inquire about these nuptials in Mexico:

Early last year she denied that they had secretly tied the knot.
Toni and Birdman were not together in early 2024 when she said she was ‘looking forward’ to dating again.
She told People about her single life and her plans to start looking for a boyfriend.
‘Single is nice,’ she admitted. ‘I haven’t practiced it yet, but I’m going to soon because I’ve been wrapped up in this show.’
She added: ‘I’m looking forward to getting out there and dating.’
However, Braxton also admitted that she is nervous to get back out on the dating scene again.
‘I mean, dating can be scary too. It can be a little bit,’ she said before revealing the type of person she is looking to date next.
Of her ideal partner, she said they would be ‘a nice guy, someone who will watch Lifetime with me all day long, at least once in the week.’
So, are they TOGETHER or NOT!? We are not CERTAIN what the day to day is like for the star-crossed lovers. We DO know that Braxton has been QUITE private about her affairs of the heart since her PUBLIC split from the father of her two children, Mint Condition singer/songwriter Keri Lewis. Those two finalized their divorce back in 2013.
As for Toni and Birdman, let’s hope these two are in a ‘good place’ right now. I’ve met both and both are GREAT individuals that truly DESERVE love and LIFE! The two have been in an on-again, off-again relationship ever since they started dating in May 2016 following decades of friendship.
