Season 12 of the hot Bravo reality show, ‘Married To Medicine’ is gearing up for production for season 12, but they will MINUS two polarizing cast members. Lateasha ‘Sweet Tea’ Lunceford and her husband Gregory Lunceford have been AXED ahead of season 12!
In a YouTube Live from May 7, Sweet Tea fielded fan questions when someone in the comments said they were “glad” she wasn’t returning. From there, she went on to confirmed her M2M departure and spoke about the show in the past tense:
“Know that I’m not a quitter, never ever been a quitter, and I never ran away from anybody, just putting that out there,” Sweet Tea said in the video.
“But it is what it is,” she continued. “There are better things in store for me. I think that platform was what it was for me at the moment, and I think God has something better, and I’m going down the right path.”
If you recall, ‘Sweet Tea’ joined in season 10 when she married Dr. Gregory. The couple have CLASHED with just about everybody on the cast since season 10, and it all came to a head on season 11 with the ongoing ‘beef’ with Gregory’s first wife, fan fave, Quad Webb and her new beau, King.
After a near-altercation between Gregory Lunceford and Quad’s new suitor, King–the couples had been avoiding each other like the plague, Gregory even went as far as filing a police report against King in hopes of keeping him from filming with the cast.
This futile plea fell through when authorities found that there was no altercation, thus no need for a restraining order, and King soon returned to filming. If you recall, it appeared that the majority of the cast took King’s side, because he appeared to take ownership of his part in the rift, as Gregory did not.
The FANS also sided with Quad and King for the most part, ousting The Luncefords to pariah-like status.
The REUNION showed the writing on the wall in my opinion, because the Luncefords STILL seemed to double down on the fact that they did no WRONG in their part of the ‘BEEF’ and little accountability was shown. Also, after 2 seasons, it appeared that Sweet Tea, STILL hadn’t gelled with the rest of the cast and just could not hold her own with the other larger-than-life personas on the show. This was evidenced at the reunion. Her quips and jabs often fell FLAT and her ‘READS’ seemed prefabricated and just did not land like she thought they would. In these type of ENSEMBLE shows, the REUNION usually is the determining factor if you get picked up for another season, and frankly, the Luncefords came out with a very low ‘scorecard’, so it should not have been a SURPRISE to them that they were not asked back for another season.
We wish them the best off-camera.
Their departure begs the question, what will Heavenly and Quad spend their time on next season.
A lot of the drama came from Heavenly and Sweet Tea’s beef and Sweet Tea was also the centerpoint of the tift between her family and Quad’s new relationship.
One person that could remedy that would be the show’s creator and E.P., Mariah Huq! If you remember when we last saw her on the scene, she had BEEF with BOTH Heavenly and Quad!

So if she returned, that could be a source of ALOT of light ‘SHADE’ and drama! Also a potential FOIL for Quad would be season one stand-out, Lisa Nicole Cloud. She and Quad had many dust-offs in the past:
