5: Angel Reese’s COMMENTS about #ChicagoSky teammates PROMPTS emergency TEAM MEETING!
Angel Reese is NOT happy with her team, The Chicago Sky and has been VOCAL about them and their performance to date!
Chicago Sky players are furious over statements made by teammate Angel Reese in a recent interview with the Chicago Tribune.
With a record of 10-30, the Chicago Sky are currently near the bottom of the WNBA standings. Only the Connecticut Sun (10-31) and the Dallas Wings (9-32) have worse records this season.
A team meeting will be held in which the players plan to directly address Reese over her comments.
One league source said Reese’s future with the team is uncertain.
Reese told the Chicago Tribune she wants the Chicago Sky to build around her. “I’m not settling for the same s– we did this year,” Reese said. “We have to get good players. We have to get great players. That’s a non-negotiable for me.”
She continued: “I’d like to be here for my career, but if things don’t pan out, obviously I might have to move in a different direction and do what’s best for me.”
Reese said the Sky’s point guards aren’t good enough to get the job done.
She praised the Sky’s injured point guard Courtney Vandersloot, but she said Vandersloot is too old at age 36 to help the team.
Vandersloot, who won a WNBA championship with the NY Liberty last year, is expected to return from an ACL tear injury soon.
“We can’t rely on Courtney to come back at the age that she’s at,” Reese said. “I know she’ll be a great asset for us, but we can’t rely on that. We need someone probably a little younger with some experience, somebody who’s been playing the game and is willing to compete for a championship and has done it before.”
On Wednesday, Reese apologized for her statements. She said her frustration was more about herself than the team.
“I didn’t intentionally mean to put down my teammates… I already apologized to them,” she said. “What I say can be taken any type of way, and I want to grow from this.”
Reese received her 8th technical foul of the season during the Sky’s dominant 88-64 win over the Sun on Wednesday.
4. Montell Jordan reveals his cancer returned after prostate removal surgery!
Musician Montell Jordan has opened up about his ongoing battle with prostate cancer.
The “This Is How We Do It” singer confirmed on the TODAY show Thursday, Sept. 3, that his cancer returned after he underwent prostate removal surgery last year. The R&B artist was first diagnosed in January 2024 and later thanked early detection and a prostatectomy procedure for being cancer free.
However, further check-ups revealed he had cancer in his lymph nodes, which he is undergoing radiation to treat.
“I’m not completely on the other side of that journey and still have some additional work that needs to get done that starts in October,” Jordan said, adding he’s “fully confident” that “God is (my) healer.”
“I also know that I have the greatest of care professionals and people alongside of me to make sure that we are completely cancer free,” he added. Jordan also said he didn’t know there was such a thing as being a two-time cancer survivor, but “that’s the journey that I’m on right now.”
As a Global Ambassador for non-profit ZERO Prostate Cancer, Jordan urged men to end the stigma that exists around conversations about the disease. He urged anyone with male loved ones in their lives to encourage routine prostate exams to promote early detection.
“If I’m not getting checked basically I’m playing Russian Roulette with my life,” he said.

Whoopi Goldberg is recalling the moment she realized she wanted to lose weight.
“I made (2022 drama ‘Till’) and a woman thought I was wearing a fat suit,” Goldberg said during a May 13, 2024, appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”
“‘The movie was good, but that fat suit was terrible,'” Goldberg recalls the woman saying. “And I was indignant, this is not a fat suit this is me,” she responded.
The moment was a rude awakening. “I was 300 pounds,” Goldberg revealed, so she decided to make a change.
While Goldberg hasn’t revealed how much weight she’s lost, it was significant enough for a brand to use her likeness in an ad for a weight loss drug she’d never agreed to work with. “I’m giving everybody a heads-up,” Goldberg said during a Feb. 2025 episode of The View, per NBC News. “There is a phony weight loss ad floating around online, on Instagram, that has me [with an] AI mouth saying all kinds of stuff.”
She didn’t name the company that used her image, but she urged anyone who’s seen the ad not to buy into it. “Because I don’t know what it is, I had nothing to do with it, and I don’t want y’all thinking this is coming from me,” she said at the time.
She’s not opposed to weight loss drug use, however. In fact, Goldberg revealed she used Mounjaro to help her lose weight. Ahead, read everything she’s shared.

Goldberg has spoken openly about using a weight-loss drug to improve her health.
“I’m doing that wonderful shot that works for folks who need some help and it’s been really good for me,” Goldberg told Clarkson after she commented on how youthful Goldberg looks. “It’s all the weight I’ve lost.”
“I’ve lost almost two people,” the EGOT winner added in reference to the number of pounds she’s shed.
But before the “fat suit” remark, Goldberg said she hadn’t thought much about her weight. “You’re living your life and you’re doing what you need to do and that’s the last thing you’re thinking about,” she explained.
Hearing it upset her and prompted her to start asking people if they’d noticed her weight gain. “You say to people, ‘Did I always look like that?,’” Goldberg recalled. “When you realize it, you go ‘Damn,’ and everyone says, ‘Well, I thought you knew.’”
