It’s been MANY years since Nene Leakes UNCEREMONIOUSLY slammed her laptop down and walked away from Bravo and the RHOA franchise she made famous!
It was May 2020, a virtual RHOA reunion where she famously walked off camera twice, marking her abrupt departure from the show and her final appearance as a full-time Housewife. A tenuous lawsuit followed and years of bad blood between Nene and the network and the show’s executive producer Andy Cohen.
Years has passed, lawsuit settled and it appears that the dust has settled that and the waters have calmed at NBC/Universal that is the home of Bravo and now the door appears to be OPEN for a TRIUMPHANT return to glory. Nene has had several red carpet guesting host appearances and now it appears the most ICONIC RHOA alum has been asked to return to the HOUSE she built.
Rumors had been SWIRLING that Nene would be returning to RHOA…. Andy Cohen confirmed that Leakes WILL BE MAKING AN APPEARANCE on the upcoming Housewives Ultimate Road Trip show!
Andy was tight-lipped about the show but did say it would be a GIRL’S TRIP jaunt across several cities and the primary cast has not been REVEALED, but that Nene would be a part of it for the Atlanta run. And that there would be upwards of 16 or so past housewives involved as they celebrate 20 years of ‘Housewives’!
Small steps, but we will take what we can and build on that. I am here to say on this day– whatever Nene’s part of this show is– it will be the highest rated portion of it. Fans have been CLAMORING since she LEFT for her return to Bravo because she is GREAT TV and so polarizing and charismatic. Cohen was also vague about when the show would air, using Sheree Whitfield’s famous quote, around ‘Spring/summer is’ like her INFAMOUS joggers!
