Sad news to report… 2023 is getting off to a bad start in the world of entertainment. We have CONFIRMED that Memphis rapper, Gangsta Boo of Three6Mafia fame has passed away at 43!
Lola Mitchell, 43, more affectionately known as “Gangsta Boo” was found dead at approximately 4 p.m.
Gangsta Boo was the second woman member of the Memphis hip-hop group “Three 6 Mafia”.
The “Late Night Tip” rapper was the second female member of Three 6 Mafia after K-9. Mitchell went on to release various solo albums in addition to appearing on the group’s first five studio releases.
After joining Three 6 Mafia in the 1990s, Mitchell left the group in the early 2000s to launch another solo album and numerous mixtapes. She was featured on songs from famous rappers including Gucci Mane, OutKast, The Game and more.
No cause of death has been given at press time, but we will continue to follow this story. Our HEARTS go out to Lola’s family, friends and host of FANS around the world!
