WAKE IT UP!!

On this day back in 1999 Diddy dropped his SECOND album , ‘Forever’!

The album peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200 & #1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart & is RIAA Certified Platinum. The singles released include “P.E. 2000”, peaking at #6 on the Rap Charts & #34 on the R&B Hip-Hop Singles Chart, “Satisfy You” (#2 Hot 100, #1 Rap & #1 R&B/Hip-Hop), “Do you like it… Do You Want it…” (#67 R&B/Hip-Hop), & “Best Friend” (#67 R&B/Hip-Hop).

Produced by Combs, The Hitmen, Kelly Price, & R. Kelly, “Forever” is an East Coast Hip-Hop album & is the follow up album to Combs’ critically acclaimed debut album, “No Way Out”. “Forever” features more undertones of R&B than that of its predecessor, making it a smoothed-out Hip-Hop album of 1999. While “Forever” was a HUGE Hip-Hop success, not only was the album blocked from the #1 spot by Christina Aguilera’s debut album, “Christina Aguilera”, many music critics criticized the album for its heavy usage of sampling & lack of original content, but that didn’t stop loyal Hip-Hop & music heads alike to successfully place the album on its chart-topping numbers. “Forever” is a CLASSIC album, that reinvigorated classic hits with its fusion of Hip-Hop & is STILL an album of rotation to this day. “Forever” to infinity

What were some of your FAVORITE cuts from this project?
